Each month at CSS, we have a “Purple Cow Award” that is given to an internal employee. This award, and what is represents, is based on the book “Purple Cow” by Seth Godin. A “Purple Cow” is someone who stands out in a crowd for being remarkable.

An excerpt from the book reads:

“Cows, after you’ve seen one or two or ten, are boring. A Purple Cow, though… now that would be something. Godin defines a Purple Cow as anything phenomenal, counterintuitive, exciting… remarkable.”

This month, the recipient is Lisa Garman!

Lisa is currently an Office Administrator in our Media, PA office. She has worked with CSS Tech Services since August 2002.

Interesting Facts about Lisa:  Lisa’s big thing is she has been a high school cheer-leading coach since 1999. Her favorite thing about coaching is working with the kids and seeing their successes. At home, if you were to ask Lisa’s kids the two things she hates the most… being late for church & wet socks!

Lisa was a pleasure to work with, and always obtained any information we needed for coordinating the work of Contemporary Staffing’s move vendors with our Construction Team. I know for our tenants, these moves are ‘add ons’ to their normal job duties. Lisa was instrumental in making the process run as efficiently as possible.”

A note from our CSS President:  “Congratulations to Lisa Garman for winning the Purple Cow award for July 2014!  Lisa was nominated 6 times this month for all the organization and hard work she put into moving the Media office from building 1 to building 2!
