Each month at CSS, we have a “Purple Cow Award” that is given to an internal employee. This award, and what is represents, is based on the book “Purple Cow” by Seth Godin. A “Purple Cow” is someone who stands out in a crowd for being remarkable.
An excerpt from the book reads:
“Cows, after you’ve seen one or two or ten, are boring. A Purple Cow, though… now that would be something. Godin defines a Purple Cow as anything phenomenal, counterintuitive, exciting… remarkable.”

This month, the recipient is Paula Chaikin!
Paula is one of the current Administrative Assistants at our Corporate Headquarters in Mt. Laurel, NJ. She started at CSS in October 2012.
Interesting Facts about Paula: She graduated from Rowan University in May 2012 with a BA in Communications. While studying and completing full time course work at Rowan, she was able to maintain a serving job at Seasons 52 where she was awarded a “freshness pin” for outstanding customer service and team work. She highly enjoyed working with and helping others, therefore her role currently at CSS has been very rewarding.
In Paula’s spare time, she enjoys cooking and spending time with family/friends. Something that interests her a lot is photography… She hopes to one day take classes.
