Description:

Senior Cost Accountant

A Senior Cost Accountant with years of cost accounting and/or financial analyzing experience is needed for a direct-hire position in Colmar, PA. The Senior Cost Accountant will work for a manufacturing company and be part of the FP&A Team reporting to the Director of Finance Operations. This position offers an annual salary starting at $75,000.

Responsibilities of the Senior Cost Accountant include:

  • Provide financial and accounting support for Supply Chain Operations
  • Develop, interpret, and implement financial concepts for financial planning and control
  • Support the annual budget and forecasting process (spending, manufacturing variances, inventory, capital, budget allocations, etc)
  • Perform technical analysis to determine present and projected performance
  • Lead the analysis of Excess and Obsolete inventory process; present findings, root causes of issues, and improvement opportunities 
  • Work with distribution centers to analyze monthly distribution/logistics/manufacturing costs
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis as needed

Requirements of the Senior Cost Accountant:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • MBA preferred
  • 4-6+ years of related cost accounting / financial analysis in the manufacturing industry
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
  • Familiarity with Hyperion, Qlik, SAP, and/or Business Objects
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and task simultaneously
