Key Responsibilities of the Project Lead (Health Benefits Configuration):
- Oversee benefits configuration projects from planning through implementation, ensuring key milestones, deliverables, and operational objectives remain on track.
- Coordinate activities across business, technical, testing, and operational teams, including collaboration with offshore resources to support project execution and continuity.
- Facilitate issue resolution, change management efforts, implementation readiness reviews, and knowledge transfer activities to promote smooth transitions and sustained operations.
- Develop and maintain project tracking tools, status reporting, executive presentations, dashboards, and data driven insights to support informed decision making.
- Serve as a central point of communication for stakeholders by translating business and technical information into clear updates, recommendations, and action plans.
- Minimum of five years of experience in healthcare payer operations, healthcare benefits administration, benefits configuration, project leadership, business analysis, or a related field.
- Proven healthcare benefits configuration experience with the ability to support complex configuration initiatives and operational processes within a health insurance environment.
- Demonstrated success leading projects or workstreams, including experience managing priorities across onshore and offshore teams.
- Advanced Excel proficiency with hands on experience using formulas, functions, pivot tables, reporting tools, and data analysis techniques.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with a healthcare benefits configuration platform, benefits application configuration, SharePoint administration or document management, testing support activities, and industry certifications such as PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or CBAP. Experience with HealthRules is highly preferred.
