Job Title: QA Test Engineer

Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a QA Test Engineer to join our client to support the delivery of reliable, high-performing business applications and technology solutions. This contract opportunity is located in Philadelphia, PA. In this role, you will play a key part in validating system functionality, improving software quality, and helping ensure successful implementations across a variety of enterprise projects. The ideal candidate brings a strong testing background and enjoys collaborating with technical and business teams to drive continuous improvement throughout the development lifecycle.

Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday, standard business hours

Key Responsibilities of the QA Test Engineer:

• Design, coordinate, and execute testing strategies that validate application performance, functionality, integrations, and overall business requirements.
• Conduct a variety of testing activities, including functional, regression, end-to-end, integration, and user acceptance testing to support successful project outcomes.
• Manage defect identification, documentation, tracking, and retesting efforts while partnering with technical teams to resolve issues efficiently.
• Maintain data accuracy and system integrity during software deployments, enhancements, data conversions, and integration initiatives.
• Enhance testing efficiency by developing automated test solutions and supporting quality assurance tools, environments, and best practices.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, project teams, and stakeholders to clarify requirements, communicate testing results, and contribute to deployment readiness activities.
• Deliver test progress updates, quality metrics, and recommendations to support informed project decisions and continuous process improvement.

Qualifications and Skills for the QA Test Engineer:

• At least 3 years of experience in software quality assurance, application testing, or a related technology-focused role.
• Demonstrated ability to create and execute test plans, test scenarios, and detailed testing documentation.
• Hands-on experience with automated testing platforms such as Selenium, TestComplete, or similar tools.
• Working knowledge of software development methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, or blended project environments.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify root causes and recommend practical solutions.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with experience working across technical and non-technical teams.
• A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred; equivalent experience will also be considered.
