Job Title: Application Integration Support Engineer

Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking an Application Integration Support Engineer to join our client to support the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of enterprise system integrations. This contract opportunity is based in Philadelphia, PA and offers a chance to work closely with business applications, data platforms, and integration technologies that keep critical operations running smoothly. The ideal candidate will help troubleshoot complex data and connectivity issues, optimize integration processes, and contribute to long-term technology enhancement initiatives. This role is well-suited for someone who enjoys problem-solving, cross-functional collaboration, and driving operational reliability.

Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday, normal business hours

Key Responsibilities of the Application Integration Support Engineer:

• Monitor and maintain data integrations between business applications, ensuring reliable system performance and uninterrupted information flow.
• Investigate and resolve integration-related issues including data discrepancies, connectivity failures, authentication challenges, and processing errors.
• Collaborate with internal technology teams, application owners, and external partners to diagnose root causes and implement lasting solutions.
• Support and enhance integration workflows, APIs, file transfer processes, and automated jobs using modern integration platforms and tools.
• Develop and utilize SQL queries, scripts, and utilities to validate data integrity, support reconciliations, and facilitate issue resolution.
• Contribute to system enhancement projects by assisting with requirements gathering, testing, deployment coordination, and solution documentation.
• Improve operational readiness through monitoring strategies, alerting mechanisms, process documentation, and support playbooks.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen integration scalability, reliability, and overall technology effectiveness while supporting modernization efforts.

Qualifications and Skills for the Application Integration Support Engineer:

• 3+ years of experience supporting, troubleshooting, or developing integrations within enterprise application environments.
• Hands-on experience with integration platforms such as Boomi, MuleSoft, Workato, Azure Data Factory, Logic Apps, Informatica, Fivetran, or similar technologies.
• Solid understanding of integration technologies including REST and SOAP APIs, JSON, XML, OAuth, webhooks, and secure file transfer methods.
• Strong SQL capabilities with experience querying relational databases and cloud-based data environments.
• Working knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or JavaScript for automation and troubleshooting activities.
• Ability to analyze technical issues, manage competing priorities, and communicate effectively across both technical and non-technical teams.
• Experience supporting testing, deployment activities, and documentation within a structured technology environment.
• A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred; equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
